When Heaven Is Near
With eyes wide open today Mama held my hand, she asked me if I could see the river. She told me how much she wanted to go down into it. She said she saw Pastor Ken and Miss Lillian and they said it was alright to go in.... Thank you to the home hospice nurse, those palliative midwives of the dying for enabling our family to walk with Mama from this world to heaven with love, dignity and honor.

Thank you for your comments. This is of my mother in law holding my wife's hand with her uncle rubbing her moms head. Hospice care is a real blessing! The story this photo represents is very special to my wife & I.
